Laurel Creek Conservation Area, Waterloo. 

WRPS Officers descended on the Conservation Area after an incident resulted in a suspect fleeing into the densely wooded area. Officers set up a perimeter and the Canine Unit was utilized to search the area, although their search turned up negative. As well, bicycle officers searched the trails for a sign of the fleeing man.

Midland, Ontario. 

A small fire engulfed a tree and a fence in this cottage area of Northern Ontario. Firefighters responded and quickly had the blaze under control. EMS responded as well to treat a man who was wounded trying to fight the fire himself. Police also attended to investigate the circumstances of the fire.

2012 Waterloo Air Show 

This photo won me 1st Place Overall Static Aircraft Category in the Sharp Shooter Air Show Photo Contest by Air Combat Zone. Managed to get a shot of the Corsair with its wings folded which made an impressive subject. Looking forward to this year’s Air Show season!

A Hamilton Police vehicle guards Hanger 53 related to the investigation into the homicide of Tim Bosma. The hanger is owned by the suspect’s family.

The annual open house gave the public a chance to see police demonstrations, equipment and to tour a number of displays showing what each branch does. This included a roll-over demonstration by the OPP as well as the Gang Unit’s display on imitation firearms and the challenges this causes for police officers.

Victoria and Belmont. 

Two vehicle collision blocks the intersection during rush-hour traffic. Minor collision with no injuries although leaking fluids required the Fire Department to be dispatched for cleanup.

Conservation between Erbsville and Beaver Creek in Waterloo. 

A silver Grand Caravan was struck head-on by a Tercel on Conservation when the van turned too close in front. The skid marks made by the Tercel as the driver tried to stop in time were clearly visible on the road. Injuries were minor thanks to seat-belts being worn in both vehicles.

Highland in Kitchener. 

Injuries were minor after a cyclist was struck in an intersection near Highland Plaza in Kitchener.
